Tomorrow to celebrate Canada Day, it's nothing but Canadian wine that will be on tap here. The only question is now is what to open. On the white front, I've got some Norman Hardie Pinot Gris, Long Dog Chardonnay and Daniel Lenko (Chardonnay) in the fridge ready to go.
On the red side of things, I'm thinking about cracking an '04 Le Clos Jordanne Pinot but I'm very tempted to open up a Lailey Vineyards Cab Franc that was matured in Canadian oak! Talk about appropriate for Canada Day!
What are you thinking about - comments would be great!
You can't go wrong with Lailey. I'm very partial to their pinot noir, as well as those produced by Flat Rock and Malivoire. I'm curious...how did you get your hands on Le Clos Jordanne? I've been trying unsuccessfully for ages!

Ken:
I'm sipping Norman Hardie '04 Pinot as I'm typing this. Very fragrant and tasty, but a little light compared to the SV Jordanne's.
Any of the wines indicated would be worthy.

DFang, I've been working very hard (too hard quite frankly) to get a good collection of Le Clos Jordanne. I was able to get a good assortment of the 2004 release from Vintages as they were offered on futures (all but the Grand Clos) a couple of months before they were released. I went to the '05 Release tasting last year and put my name in for 6-packs of the wines that I really enjoyed and finally was finally offered them (most of them - no Grand Clos Pinot) last month.
The good news is that LCJ has finally got all of the Ontario government paper work and you can buy from them direct now. The '05 Pinots are all sold out, but you can still buy some Chardonnay. Just head to http://www.leclosjordanne.com/ and click the Order icon (after picking English of French).

Hi Brian, Tracey and I just had a great visit at Norm's place with Ben. We tasted through the '07 barrels and was blown away. The current release Pinot Gris from PEC is really fantastic too!
