Creation of a new national wine and spirits agency
MONTREAL, July 3 /CNW Telbec/ - The Boisset Family in France and the
Canadian Charton-Hobbs Group have just announced an agreement covering the
creation of a new national company to act as agents of the different Maisons
of the Boisset Group and other complementary partners, in order to optimize
the representation and the distribution of their brands in Canada. The name of
this new company will be disclosed at a later date. This announcement includes
a Canada wide representation agreement to take effect immediately.
The Boisset Group owns a number of prestigious and well known brands in
Canada such as Mommessin, Bouchard Ainé, Louis Bernard, J.Moreau, Jaffelin,
St.Raphael, Thorin, Ropiteau, Domaine de la Vougeraie, Jean-Claude Boisset,
Roland Bouchacourt, French Rabbit, Louis Bouillot and finally De Loach
Vineyards of California, with a volume of business surpassing 350,000 cases in
The Charton-Hobbs Group on its part is the most important family-owned
wine and spirits representation company in Canada with a portfolio of many
famous brands. It is active in all provinces. The mission and the control of
its present agencies, Charton-Hobbs, Authentic and Le Marchand de Vin are
maintained without any changes.
