St. Catharines, ON - For ten days in January, put your shovel away, bundle up and embrace winter as the Niagara Region is transformed into a wintry wonderland to celebrate world class Ontario Icewines at the 14th Niagara Icewine Festival. For over two decades, Ontario has been a world leader in the creation of Icewine. The Niagara Icewine Festival showcases this flagship product in a celebration of Niagara inspired cuisine, fabulous entertainment and unique getaways.
The Festival stretches two weekends that are packed with exclusive icewine experiences including dinners with the winemakers, gala celebrations, outdoor ice bars and lounges, celebrity chefs and winery tours along Niagara's famed wine route. Xerox Icewine Gala Friday - Friday, January 16
Xerox Icewine Gala at Fallsview Casino Resort kicks off the Festival in style. This year the Gala will be more spectacular than ever with ice bars, luxurious décor and wines from more than 25 of Ontario’s premier wineries and Canada’s largest tasting of internationally acclaimed icewines and premium wines. The evening also features Niagara cuisine prepared by the renowned culinary team from the resort’s signature restaurants - 17 Noir, Ponte Vecchio and Golden Lotus as well as live entertainment featuring Dione Taylor. After the Gala, enjoy a nightcap at R5, the resort’s chic new lounge overlooking the Horseshoe Falls.

Twenty Valley Icewine Bar - January 17 & 18
Experience a Winter Carnivàle on the Main Street in Jordan, a quaint village nestled at the foot of the Niagara Escarpment. The 30-foot decorative Ice bar will be the cornerstone of the outdoor Icewine activities, which will include ice carving demonstrations, art exhibits, buskers, Niagara cuisine and live entertainment. Patrons can enjoy cuisine from local restaurants and purveyors of the Twenty Valley region, along with icewine and wines from 20 Niagara wineries.
Jordan Village, 12:00pm – 5:00pm. Free admission.
Winterfest in Market Square – January 17
Join the City of St. Catharines for a celebration of Niagara wines and food at the Market Square in downtown St. Catharines. Throughout the evening local chefs and restaurants will be on hand to showcase the city’s vibrant culinary scene while patrons enjoy the wines of several leading wineries from Niagara. The event will also feature live entertainment from ‘Chefs Without Hats’ and art by The Niagara Artist Centre.

Fallsview Casino Icewine Lounge – January 24 & 25
The heart of the Niagara Icewine Festival will shift to Historic Queen Street in old Niagara-On-The-Lake and the Fallsview Casino Icewine Lounge. An outdoor venue featuring bars and tables carved from solid blocks of ice, the Fallsview Casino Icewine Lounge is the perfect setting for sampling icewine and other products from 20 Niagara wineries while savouring local cuisine and enjoying live entertainment.
Queen St., Niagara-On-The-Lake, 12:00pm – 6:00pm. Free admission.
Niagara Icewine Festival Discovery Pass - January 17, 18, 24 & 25
Enjoy both weekends of celebration along Niagara's famous wine route with the Niagara Icewine Discovery Pass. Over 25 Niagara wineries will be featuring special tours, food and wine pairings and exclusive winery tastings with a focus on Icewine. These unique offerings will be available exclusively to passport holders, each passport granting access to up to 6 events valued at $10.00 each.
At participating wineries along the Niagara Wine Route, times vary by winery. Passports $30.00/person.
Niagara Icewine Classic Weekend January 23 - 25 (All inclusive getaway package)
Available to a limited number of guests, join us for an all inclusive VIP weekend, featuring two night’s luxury accommodation at the Pillar and Post Inn, exclusive Icewine events, wine tasting, seminars and dinner as well as all transportation needs while in Niagara-On-The-Lake, Ontario. Friday January 23rd – Guests will enjoy the Grand Tasting Gala, an elegant cocktail celebration featuring the regions finest chefs and local wineries followed by specialty Icewine Martini’s, dessert and coffee provided by Criveller and Starbucks. Guests will also get the first peak at the unveiling of the Fallsview Casino Icewine Lounge.
Saturday January 24th - Following a continental breakfast, guests will head to an exclusive Niagara Falls Icewine Experience including a Wine Seminar Luncheon overlooking the majestic Niagara Falls. This seminar will feature entertainment from Dione Taylor, the LCBO’S Michael Fagan, celebrity chefs from the Food Network including Roger Mooking, Anthony Sedlak, Anna Olson and local chef Jason Parsons who appears on Cityline. After an afternoon of exploring historic Niagara-On-The-Lake, guests will enjoy a VQA wine reception and an intimate Winemakers’ Dinner at one of Niagara’s premier restaurants.
Sunday January 25th - The finale for this weekend is a spectacular Sunday Bubbly Brunch at the Pillar and Post Inn.
